Epi-LASIK: What if you have dry eyes?

http://youtu.be/M38FlksOnJA

There is a common misconception that patients with dry eyes cannot successfully have LASIK or Epi-LASIK laser vision correction surgery.

Patients with dry eyes often experience an increase in symptoms when they wear contact lenses. Additional suffering can be caused by a dry work or home environment.

The truth is however, that patients with dry eyes can often be very good candidates for this type of procedure so long as appropriate treatment of the dry eye is begun well in advance of the surgical procedure and then kept up after.  Watch the video and hear Molly talk about her experience with dry eyes before and after her surgery.
