Should You Bother With Sunglasses in Winter?

To put the sunglasses on, or not? That is the question. Many people wonder if it's worth the bother, especially in winter. It's mostly cloudy, but bright out because of the snow on the ground. If you need to switch from prescription glasses to your prescription sunglasses  while you're in the car, or walking on the street, it can be a bother to make the change. But, as Dr. Jeffrey Gold says, "Putting on the sunglasses is always going to be a good choice."

Dr. Gold recommends the use of sunglasses to filter out harmful UV rays. "UV Rays can be a real threat to your eye health. Cataracts and macular degeneration can be the consequence of long term exposure to UV light. Wearing sunglasses is a smart idea. So when in doubt, put them on" says Gold.

Parking is located in the rear of the building. The entrance is under a large green awning, next to the picnic table.
